- I Registered as a nurse in 1985 and from 1991 until 2002. I was a Public Health Nurse in Te Kuiti.
- I have had a passion for midwifery since becoming a nurse and began my Midwifery Degree in 2002.
- I qualified as a midwife in 2003 after a comprehensive program at the Waikato Institute of Technology spending many hours with local midwives participating in births locally and at Waikato hospital.
- I am a member of the New Zealand College of Midwives.
